The Kerry Way Passport will be released on 27th May.

The Kerry Way Passport is a new product for the 2013 season and is an essential purchase for those who intend walking for several days along the trail. Within 3-4 days, the Passport will have paid for itself through savings it has made. Any discounts after this will start to reduce the overall expenses for your holiday.

In addition to this, the Passport is the gateway to receiving an official certificate. It helps you to keep a record of where you have visited. It allows you feel that you are giving something back to the trail through a donation included in the price and it helps walkers meet up at the end of the day by visiting the same restaurants, etc.

A Kerry Way Souvenir

You can apply for an official Kerry Way Certificate by getting your Passport stamped at each town and village along the trail. The Certificate will be made out to reflect the amount of the trail you have walked, whether you have walked it in full or in part.

The Kerry Way Passport in itself is a simple momento of your holiday. You record where you have stayed along the trail, where you have eaten and what other places you have seen. By giving your own rating to each service, you will accurately remember in the months and years ahead what your best recommendations are to anyone else that wants to walk the trail.

Kerry Way Discounts

By carrying your Kerry Way Passport with you at all times, you will be entitled to get a 10% discount at a wide variety of businesses along the trail. These include restaurants, museums, shops, ferries, bicycle hire and other activities.

An Immediate 10% Discount will be given on all other items that are bought with a Kerry Way Passport in the one transaction.

A Kerry Way Donation

A donation of €1.50 is included in the price of the Passport. At the end of the season this money will be given on your behalf to the Kerry Way Committee and it will go to fund some element that will enhance the trail. Any suggestions that you may have for what would be a beneficial addition to the trail would be welcome.

Kerry Way Community

Whilst it is great to get out and enjoy the open countryside, it can sometimes become quite lonely when you have managed to successfully 'get away from it all' for hours on end. At the end of each evening, it is nice to share your experiences with other walkers who have also just walked the same stage as you. By using the accommodation and restaurants listed in the Passport, and those included on this website, you will have a much greater chance of forming your own unique Kerry Way Community.
